Yesterday I Heard The Rain is one of my favorite Tony Bennett songs, even though it’s not one of his most popular songs. This lovely version is from a 1969 television broadcast in England with Count Basie. Also in this segment is People, from Funny Girl.
Still needing a bit of Christmas cheer? We’re happy to pass on the news that Tony Bennett’s Christmas special for Univision is now available to view online!
I saw it and enjoyed it very much. If you missed it in the weekend before Christmas, you can watch it here.
Feliz Año Nuevo, everybody!

This is my kind of interview: music people talking about music.
Tony Bennett’s 2004 visit to Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz was replayed this week. If you haven’t heard this episode of this very fine program, you can listen to it here.
I’ve been listening to audio version of Marian McPartland’s book, All In Good Time. Ms. McPartland reads her own book, which makes it even more special. The book is available from Audible.
