Here’s this song and dance from the 1953 film Kiss Me Kate. I think it’s one of the best film dances ever created. It’s wonderful to see the young Bob Fosse and Tommy Rall’s entrance (1:34) is breaktaking.

Dissertation on the Weather by Cole Porter

It went to 97 here in Portland yesterday and will be staying hot and sunny for a while.

Well, Cole Porter and Ella Fitzgerald have something to say about that. It seems that it’s too darn hot.

“From This Moment On,” as well as all of the great songs on Rarities, Outtakes & Other Delights, Vol. 1, is available from iTunes.

Even though it’s not Saturday video day, I cannot pass up an opportunity to present the dance number from the 1953 film version of Kiss Me Kate. Bob Fosse was impossibly young and wonderful. Any fan of Fosse will see all those Fosse traits in his portion of the dance.
