I got up this morning and checked the stats on the blog and was surprised to find that the vast majority of the queries and hits on the blog were for Tony’s dog, Happy. At my Thanksgiving dinner with family yesterday, I told my sister-in-law about Happy and we spent some time looking her up. Could it be that my dinner chat in Portland, Oregon had gone viral overnight? No, instead it seemed that Tony Bennett was on Good Morning America talking about Happy, who is one of the dogs featured in the charming new book A Letter To My Dog.
If you didn’t make it up this morning to watch GMA, you can click here to view the clip.
The book is quite charming and even though I am a cat person, I recommend it to all. Beautifully photographed, too. In addition to being very happy, Happy is one great looking dog. When we saw Mr. Bennett in San Diego this fall, he even brought Happy out on stage for a moment. It was wonderful!
Here’s an excerpt from A Letter To My Dog. If you’re looking for a holiday gift for a dog lover, check out this book!

Mr. Bennett is in California this weekend.
First was a trip today, October 31, to San Francisco, for the San Francisco Giants World Series parade. At every home game when the Giants win, the public address system plays a recording of Mr. Bennett singing I Left My Heart In San Francisco. As the Giants won the series while still in Detroit, Mr. Bennett came to the victory parade to sing it in person.
