While not tending to this blog, The Interactive Tony Bennett Discography, and two new sites that I’m working on (Seeking Ross Macdonald and The Jazz Songbook), your author works in a cubicle in a very ordinary office in a very ordinary suburb of the not-so-ordinary Portland, Oregon doing work that is both ordinary and quite interesting at times.
Lacking much in terms of decoration in said cubicle, I rather impulsively cut out the full-page ad in The New York Times last September for The Silver Lining: The Songs of Jerome Kern, and pinned to the fabric of a cubicle wall. About a week ago, I made my own personal addition and am proud to say that it’s still decorating my cubicle.
It’s not much, but it pays the hosting bills. Anyway, just a little peek at my day job.
