An Appreciation of the Art and Music of Tony Bennett
Hello Everyone,

Hello everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I haven’t disappeared, but am going through what I shall call an “interesting” time.
I wound up being hospitalized last month with an infection. After that, I went to a rehab facility for physical therapy to regain my strength. The night before I was released, my apartment complex called to tell me that the ice maker in my refrigerator had sprung a leak and flooded my apartment! Luckily, I had good renter’s insurance and have been put up in a nice hotel. I also started a new job this week.
With all that’s going on, I’m just not quite up to blogging every day. I hope you understand. The apartment should be ready to move back into in about 2 or 3 weeks. I hope to back online in December, in time for our annual The Twelve Days of a Tony Bennett Christmas.
And to quote the great Duke Ellington: I love you all madly.
Dear readers,
I’m having some bad arthritis in my right shoulder, which makes it difficult to move my arm at all, which I kind of need in order to type. I’m going to take a few days off–send healing thoughts, please.
See you soon!
Suzanne

The Year of Tony Bennett is celebrating our seventh birthday.
The first post on this blog was made on June 10, 2012. A couple of days later, we posted Why The Year of Tony Bennett?
So here we are, seven years and 2,683 posts later. I’ve been doing a song of the day for almost all of that time, except during a couple of illnesses and a few vacations. Even after all this time, doing those songs each day remains a joy in my life.
We continue to get new fans, some of whom we’ve had the good fortune to meet in person, and share our love of the music of Tony Bennett everywhere we go.
So, join me in wishing the blog a happy birthday, by blowing out the virtual candles on the virtual birthday cake.
Thank you, Tony Bennett, for all of the art and music you share with us. All of your fans, including us, love you.
