The Year of Tony Bennett is celebrating our seventh birthday.
The first post on this blog was made on June 10, 2012. A couple of days later, we posted Why The Year of Tony Bennett?
So here we are, seven years and 2,683 posts later. I’ve been doing a song of the day for almost all of that time, except during a couple of illnesses and a few vacations. Even after all this time, doing those songs each day remains a joy in my life.
We continue to get new fans, some of whom we’ve had the good fortune to meet in person, and share our love of the music of Tony Bennett everywhere we go.
So, join me in wishing the blog a happy birthday, by blowing out the virtual candles on the virtual birthday cake.

I can’t believe it has been seven years since we met at the Monterey Jazz Festival. You were just starting out with The Year of Tony Bennett and it seemed like a wonderful idea. I have enjoyed each blog since then and always start my day by reading and listening to the song. Thank you for all the hard work you put into this. I appreciate it.
