I know that they’re cash cows, but not only am I tired of the duets, I’m tired of the same dang songs being on the albums. Won’t Columbia allow him to just make a record anymore? Or are his sons just building a nest egg for themselves? Shame to sacrifice art for $$$.

      Hello DJ,
Thanks for your comment regarding Viva Duets. I won’t ascribe motives to anyone connected with the album, but I do think the duets albums bring a whole new generation of fans to Tony Bennett, as evidenced by the fact that Mr. Bennett will be performing at Seattle’s Bumbershoot Festival next weekend, along with Skrillex, Jane’s Addiction, and Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, among many others.
