The Year of Tony Bennett

An Appreciation of the Art and Music of Tony Bennett

December 30, 2015 By Suzanne 4 Comments

Thank You For a Great 2015

As 2015 draws to a close, I want to take a few minutes to thank you all for another wonderful year at The Year Of Tony Bennett. I especially want to thank you for sticking by me this summer when I had to take off so much time for illness. I’m happy to report that I’m feeling great, in fact, better than ever. The only real downer for the year is that Mr. Bennett hasn’t visited the Pacific Northwest and so I didn’t get to see him in concert this year; this is the first year since I started this blog that I haven’t seen him in concert. Please come back to Portland or Seattle, Mr. Bennett. We miss you!

We’ll start off with this map of where the readers of this blog live:

2015-year-of

Here are some of our stats for the year:

Total page loads: 18, 145
Total visitors: 10,445

Most popular posts:

Duke Ellington and the Harlem Renaissance: 4,062 (I suspect a lot of term papers based on this post)
The Quartet: 1,372 (This topic always spikes after a Tony Bennett concert)
Tony and Alec Baldwin on Saturday Night Live: 362 (who doesn’t love that skit)

Songs most often searched for:

The Good Life
Some Other Time
Fly Me To The Moon
The Right To Love
While We’re Young
It Amazes Me
You Must Believe In Spring
The Two Lonely People

I have some fun things planned for 2016 and I hope you’ll join me for another great year!

Thank you for all the wonderful stuff. I’m now 84 and have been a Tony fan since I first heard
Him sing “The boulevard of broken dreams.”

Happy new year to you and Tony

Hello Hy. Thank you so much for your comment. When I started this blog, I wanted to create a home for people who love Tony Bennett. A place where they could read something new every day and enjoy his music. I am so happy that you enjoy the site. Happy New Year!
