About This Song

Bein’ Green was written by Joe Raposo for the Muppets, where it was introduced by Kermit the Frog on Sesame Street. The song became popular with non-frog singers including Frank Sinatra, Shirley Horn, Stan Kenton, Diana Ross and Ray Charles.

About This Version

Tony Bennett, partnered with Kermit,  recorded Bein’ Green for his children’s album The Playground, released in 1998.
