This song is sung at the end by two of the couples. Inexplicably, this beautiful song was cut from the 1949 film version.

The Year of Tony Bennett honors the late Bill Evans, who would have been 88 years old today. Evans was born on August 16, 1929 in Plainfield, New Jersey. He had an extraordinary career as a jazz pianist and leader of several iterations of trios. He also had a tragic addiction to drugs, including heroin and main-lined cocaine. He died at the age of 51 on September 15, 1980.
