About This Version

Tony Bennett recorded “Until I Met You” in 1962 for his album On The Glory Road, which was pulled from release at the moment. This recording was included on his 1963 album I Wanna Be Around. Thankfully, On The Glory Road was included in the 2011 box set The Complete Collection and is now available on iTunes.

About This Version

Tony Bennett recorded “Until I Met You” in 1962 for the album On The Glory Road, which was due to be released in 1962. At the last minute, Columbia chose to not release the album. Fortunately, it was made available first as a part of Bennett’s 2011 Complete Collection and later for download on iTunes.

About This Version

Tony Bennett recorded “Until I Met You” in 1962 for On The Glory Road; the song was arranged by Ralph Sharon. The release of the album was called off at the last minute. Songs from the album appeared later in other albums; this song wound up on some releases of I Wanna Be Around. Thankfully, On The Glory Road was released in 2011 as part of the Tony Bennett Complete Collection and is now available on iTunes as well.

About This Version

Tony Bennett first recorded “Until I Met You” in 1962 for the album On The Glory Road which, sadly, was not released. It’s a terrific album with a lot of great songs on it, including the title song (which Bennett used to close his Carnegie Hall concert of the same year). “Until I Met You” was arranged by Ralph Sharon and features the Ralph Sharon Trio. Ernie Altschuler produced the album.
