About This Version
Tony Bennett recorded “Out Of This World” on March 1, 1960, for his album Alone Together. Frank DeVol wrote the arrangement and conducted the orchestra.
“Out Of This World,” as well as Alone Together is available on Apple Music.
It’s sad you didn’t mention the Getz/Coltrane rhythm section element of this recording. This was real jazz which Tony loved, much to the chagrin of his handlers. When Tony was free to be himself this is what he wanted to do, this and paint.
