The song of the day for Friday, January 16, 2015 is “I’ve Got Just About Everything.”
About This Song
“I’ve Got Just About Everything” was written by jazz pianist and composer Bob Dorough. This song is a real kick … lots of fun to listen to. And it sounds like Tony Bennett is having a good time singing it as well.
About This Version
Tony Bennett recorded this song in March, 1964 in Las Vegas; he would open at the Sahara the following month with his show Live at the Sahara: From This Moment On. All of the songs on the album were arranged by Ralph Sharon and feature the Ralph Sharon Trio, with Billy Exiner on drums and Hal Gaylord on bass. Ralph Sharon’s arrangement and piano playing is fantastic on this song.
“I’ve Got Just About Everything,” as well as When Lights Are Low, is available from iTunes.
