A few months ago, we were listening to our wonderful local jazz station in Portland, KMHD after dinner and heard a most beautiful song called “For All We Know” sung by Rosemary Clooney.
It’s from her album For The Duration, which consists of songs that were popular during World War II. The album was recorded in 1991.
For The Duration is a remarkably touching album that speaks to the losses and separations of families and lovers during the war.
As the world acknowledges the 70th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion, I cannot think of a more perfect album to listen to today.
