The song of the day for Thursday, May 14, 2020, is “Some Other Time.”
About This Song
“Some Other Time” was composed by Leonard Bernstein, with lyrics by Adolph Green and Betty Comden for the 1944 Broadway musical On The Town. It’s the story of three sailors on day-long leave in New York City: they meet girls and spend their time in romantic pursuits. At the end of the show, the couples sing “Some Other Time” to each other.
The 1949 film version of On The Town cut many of the songs, including (sadly) this one.
About This Version
