Every November, the great folks at The Office of Letters and Light sponsor National Novel Writing Month, or nanowrimo.
During nanowrimo, authors sign up to write 50,000 words for their novel. It’s not about editing and rewriting; it’s about getting out that first draft.
There’s a novel I’ve been kicking around in my head for a few months, and so I’ve signed up for nanowrimo. All I can say is that it’s going to be a hell of a month.
I’ll still be tending the blog, choosing and writing about songs of the day and selecting quotes of the day. However, please be patient if I don’t answer questions as quickly as I normally do.
Please wish me luck! I’ll keep you posted on my progress! You can learn more about this (insane) project at www.nanowrimo.org.
