Tony Bennett Tour – Fall 2012 in the US

The US touring schedule is light for October and November due to the releases of Mr. Bennett’s new album (Viva Duets on 10/22), new book (Life Is A Gift on 11/20) and the theatrical release and Netflix streaming launch of the documentary film The Zen of Bennett. However, there are several concerts on the East Coast:

September 2012 is The Month Of Tony Bennett for The Year of Tony Bennett. We’ll be attending three of his performances, in what looks like a busy month for Tony and the Quartet.

August 18 – Ravinia Festival – Chicago, Illinois

Once again, Tony Bennett plays Ravinia in Chicago. The Ravinia Festival has been a Chicago musical tradition since 1904. In addition to reserved seats, a large lawn is also available and Ravinia picnicking is legendary. The Chicago Tribune had a nice article about the upcoming concert, where the author wonders if Mr. Bennett will be in as good a voice as he was last year. Based on the incredible reviews from the recently completed European Tour, I’d say Chicago won’t be disappointed.
