The film was very well received and is a personal favorite of both of the lead actors.

Mr. Mandel is one of the premier film composers of the 20th century, with songs such as “The Shadow of Your Smile,” “Suicide is Painless” (from M*A*S*H) and “Where Do You Start” along with many others. In addition to his film work, he is also a noted jazz musician, having worked with artists including Count Basie, Peggy Lee, Anita O’Day and Shirley Horn.
